Well…happy fucking birthday…India
Today is the day I was “born” but not the day I celebrate.
Two people at work got laid off. One is my friend.
After that happened I got an email of a company meeting tomorrow. I know what that’s about. Company wide 20% pay cut.
The meeting is at three. My friend that was laid off was the next in line to buy the cake for the next birthday. Since we do birthday cake around 3pm…which is when the meeting is that didn’t seem like a good idea.
One of the other girls in the office came in and said “How do you feel about birthday donuts?”
I think It’s fabulous.
I still have a job with a birthday card that will entail a 20% pay cut.
I knew it would happen on my birthday but then again it’s not.
Either way…no matter what day I was born on…everyone at that company is screwed.
But you know what? It’s all about life. Some people have shit and some people don’t. I have the charm of “If it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all.” I like that…it makes life interesting and I am also never amazed at what happens in my life.
Some people are not so lucky.

Happy Birthday! I think the first thing I said to KF and CY was "It's India's birthday tomorrow and my turn to do the cake." Shit happens and then we pull up our britches and carry on. (I'm on the phone with unemployment as I type, lol.) Don't let anybody talk shit about me and make sure they suffer from the lack of humor. :) Let me know if you need anything, I know that 20% cut hurts.

Tomorrow is my first "day off" and I don't know how I'm gonna feel about the money or the time off.
